David Bier is a dynamic leader, Partner, and Chief Operating Officer at Anglin Reichmann Armstrong, where he drives strategic growth, operational excellence, and client-focused innovation. As a key leader within the executive management team, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s future through business expansion, mergers, and a steadfast commitment to fostering a vibrant company culture.
David’s career spans entrepreneurship, corporate leadership, and public service, giving him a unique perspective on economic growth, strategic planning, and community development. Prior to his current role, David spent 22 years in the movie theatre industry, including the successful start-up and subsequent sale of Monaco Pictures. In 2007, along with four partners and serving as Vice President & Operating Partner, he launched Monaco Pictures in Huntsville, AL. The concept transformed the industry and distinguished itself as the ideal format in the emerging upscale cinema business. Previously, he has held positions of Regional Manager in Texas and City Manager in Massachusetts, overseeing one of the top ten theatres in the United States.
After a successful career in business development and operations, David transitioned to Anglin Reichmann Armstrong as Firm Administrator. In this role, he enhanced the firm’s operational foundation, strengthened company culture, and led key community engagement efforts. His leadership in mergers and acquisitions played a crucial role in Anglin’s expansion into Pensacola and Central Florida.
David also served as Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for North Alabama’s new baseball team, the Rocket City Trash Pandas, during its inaugural year in 2019. Leveraging his experience launching Monaco Pictures, he developed and implemented the critical business infrastructure necessary for a successful startup and assembled a team to ensure long-term operational success.
David is a strong advocate for civic engagement and economic growth, bringing together business and community leadership to drive meaningful impact. He has served as President of the Board of Directors for HEALS, Inc., Heart of the Valley YMCA, and Huntsville Botanical Gardens. He currently serves on the boards of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, Madison Visionary Partners, and the Boys & Girls Club.
As a member of Committee of 100, David has been an active voice in advancing community involvement, advocacy, and fostering strategic partnerships that strengthen Madison’s future. He has also led a business roundtable through Studer Community Institute and mentored entrepreneurs through the Spring MIT Venture Mentoring Services Program.
He is a graduate of the Madison Civic Awareness Academy, Leadership Huntsville/Madison County Focus Class 33, and Leadership Flagship Class 31. His fundraising efforts have successfully raised over $60,000 for HEALS through his participation in Stars Dancing for HEALS.
David holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Southern New Hampshire University and an MBA from Auburn University.
David and his wife, Jennifer, live in Madison, AL, where they have raised their two sons, Ryan and Matthew. A dedicated community leader, he has been actively involved as a Scouting volunteer, baseball coach, and Faith Factory teacher at The Brook Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys running, cycling, swimming, backpacking, and traveling with his family.
